The Sabrent EC-PCIE card lets you install an M.2 M-key NVMe solid-state drive into a full-size PCIe x16, x8 or x4 slot. It carries the drive on an aluminium heatsink with a thermal pad and ships with all mounting screws and a screwdriver.

This adapter suits systems that have a free x16, x8 or x4 slot and a BIOS able to boot from NVMe over PCIe lanes. It will not accept SATA M.2 drives, B-key M.2 modules or fit into a PCIe x1 slot.

Four-lane PCIe 3.0 electrical interface

The card presents a physical x16 connector but operates at x4 electrical lanes, so the installed NVMe drive communicates at its native four-lane speed. No other lane widths are supported by this adapter.
