Purpose-built 1U rack server for dense compute

The Supermicro SYS-5019C-WR delivers a single-socket Intel Xeon E-2124 at 3.3 GHz with 4.5 GHz turbo across four cores, paired with 128 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC unbuffered memory. Four hot-swap 3.5-inch drive bays accept SATA or SAS media while an LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller provides eight 12 Gb/s ports with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Dual 500 W 80 Plus Platinum supplies and IPMI 2.0 with dedicated LAN give redundant power and remote KVM-over-LAN management in a 1U chassis.

Replaces older single-socket towers or 2U units

Moving from a non-redundant tower or a deeper 2U system gains rack density, hot-swap bays and Platinum-grade redundant power without adding height. The jump is worth it when workloads need ECC memory integrity, hardware RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10 on twelve-gigabit SAS/SATA lanes, and lights-out management via ASPEED AST2500 BMC. Builders who need more than four 3.5-inch bays, dual-socket scaling or GPU-height expansion should look elsewhere.

Fits standard 19-inch racks

The server needs a rack cabinet that accepts 1U depth and supplies front-to-rear cooling; rails and bezel are not included. Two PCIe 3.0 slots — one x16 or two x8 plus one x4 in x8 — allow add-in NICs, HBAs or accelerators. Dual Intel I210-AT Gigabit ports and a dedicated IPMI port handle data and management traffic separately. M.2 slots support one SATA/PCIe 3.0 x4 and one PCIe 3.0 x4 device for fast boot or cache tiers. TPM 2.0 header is present for platform security.
