Dual Xeon 22-core 1U server

The Supermicro SYS-6018U-TR4T+ is a 1U rackmount server fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 processors. Each CPU provides 22 cores running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 DIMM slots. It is built for virtualization, high-performance computing and cloud workloads that demand dense parallel processing.

Sustained load behaviour

Redundant 750 W platinum power supplies and advanced thermal management keep the chassis stable during extended heavy workloads. Hot-swap drive bays and redundant power allow drive or PSU replacement without downtime. The MegaRAID 9361-8i controller with 1 GB battery-backed cache maintains write performance and data integrity under continuous I/O pressure. IPMI 2.0 with KVM-over-LAN gives remote operators full console access for monitoring and recovery.

Interface practical limits

Four 10GBase-T RJ45 ports from the Intel X540 controller provide 10 Gb/s Ethernet over copper cabling. The storage controller supports SAS 12 Gb/s and SATA across eight internal ports with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Four 3.5-inch hot-plug trays accept SAS or SATA drives; no drives are included. The platform supports up to 1.5 TB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across 24 slots. Matrox G200 graphics with 8 MB video memory handles basic display output only.
