SATA-Bus M.2 Adapter for 2230-2280 SSDs

This adapter converts a SATA-bus M.2 NGFF SSD into a standard SATA 6Gbps connection. It accepts B-key and B+M-key modules in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. The card is designed for builders who want to use an M.2 SATA drive in a system that only offers a 2.5-inch SATA bay.

Fits a SATA Port and Frees the M.2 Slot

The board plugs into a motherboard or controller SATA port and draws power through the same cable, so no extra power connector is required. It lets you repurpose an existing M.2 SATA SSD without occupying the primary M.2 socket, leaving that slot open for a future NVME drive or other expansion card.

Sustained Throughput at SATA III Speeds

Under continuous workloads the adapter maintains the full SATA III 6.0 Gbps link and is backward compatible with 1.5 and 3.0 Gbps revisions. It does not support PCIe-based M-key or M+B-key NVME AHCI SSDs such as the Samsung 950PRO or 960EVO, so buyers needing NVME performance must choose a different solution.
