HP Z Workstation Memory Upgrade

This 16 GB kit contains two 8 GB DDR3 registered DIMMs built for HP Z420, Z620 and Z820 workstations. It targets users who need error-correcting memory for stable operation in professional applications.

Registered ECC Modules for Quad-Channel Platforms

Each module is a 240-pin DDR3-1600 RDIMM running at 1.5 V with CL11 latency and a 2Rx4 organisation. The registered buffer reduces electrical load on the memory controller, allowing the workstation to populate all available slots. ECC circuitry detects and corrects single-bit errors without halting the system.

Replaces Slower or Smaller Factory Memory

The kit upgrades systems shipped with lower-capacity or slower DDR3 modules, raising total capacity to 16 GB and setting the memory bus to PC3-12800 speed. It is not suitable for platforms that require unbuffered ECC UDIMMs or non-ECC memory, and it cannot be mixed with those module types.
