The module operates at DDR4 2400 (PC4-19200) with a CAS latency of CL17 and a standard 1.2V voltage. Registered DIMMs add a clock cycle of buffering, so the memory controller must support registered operation; consumer desktop platforms that only accept unbuffered memory will not POST with this module installed.
2Rx8 rank and 288-pin form factor
This stick uses a dual-rank 2Rx8 organisation on a 288-pin DDR4 DIMM PCB. The rank configuration determines how the memory controller addresses the chips, so the motherboard must explicitly support 2Rx8 registered modules at this capacity.
