This 8GB A-Tech module runs at DDR3L 1600 with ECC and a dual-rank x8 layout. It fits 240-pin server and workstation boards that accept unbuffered DIMMs. The low-voltage design operates at 1.35V and can also run at 1.5V when required. Desktop or laptop systems cannot use this memory.
Sustained load behaviour with ECC
Error-correcting code detects and corrects single-bit errors during continuous operation, keeping data integrity intact under heavy workloads. The dual-rank organisation lets the memory controller interleave accesses, which helps maintain throughput when the system runs near capacity for extended periods. Unbuffered signalling keeps latency low for typical server tasks.
DDR3L voltage and platform limits
DDR3L modules are keyed differently from later DDR generations, so they only install in sockets wired for DDR3 or DDR3L. The 1.35V default reduces power draw compared with standard 1.5V DDR3, but the platform must support the lower voltage to gain the benefit. Maximum transfer rate is fixed at the PC3L-12800 specification.
