The Acasis TBU405Pro is a single-bay M.2 NVMe enclosure that connects through a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port at up to 40Gbps. It accepts 2280 M-key and B+M-key SSDs up to 8TB with tool-free installation and works with Windows, macOS and Linux without driver installation.

Aluminium shell with integrated fan

An aluminium body, thermal pad and built-in cooling fan dissipate heat from the SSD during sustained transfers. The enclosure draws power from the host Thunderbolt connection, so no external power supply is required. Fan noise and thermal behaviour will depend on the drive fitted and workload.

Upgrade from slower USB enclosures

Replacing a USB 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 or 2.0 enclosure with this model raises the interface ceiling to 40Gbps, which matters when moving large video or dataset files. The jump is worth it only if the host has a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 port; on plain USB-C the speed falls back to the host limit.
