The H730 controller maintains RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60 arrays across all eight bays during extended write workloads. Redundant power supplies share load so that a single unit failure does not interrupt service. The Xeon E5-2637 v3 delivers four physical cores and eight threads for steady multi-threaded throughput, while 24 DIMM slots allow memory expansion to 1536 GB for larger working sets.

Practical interface limits

PCIe 3.0 slots provide up to three full-height expansion cards plus a dedicated PERC slot, limiting total lane bandwidth to the generation 3.0 ceiling.
