This 2U rack server holds twenty-four 2.5-inch drive bays and two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each with 14 cores at 2.0GHz and 3.2GHz Turbo. It ships with 128GB of DDR4 2400MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16GB modules. The platform targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce, VDI, databases or HPC data-node roles.

Sustained throughput with 24 SAS spindles

Twenty-four 300GB 10K SAS drives feed a Dell PERC H730 1GB controller that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode.
