Twelve 3.5-inch drive bays ship populated with 6 TB enterprise SATA disks, making the platform a natural fit for software-defined storage, backup targets or virtual desktop infrastructure.

Storage interface limits

The PERC H730P controller manages the twelve SATA drives through a 12 Gb/s SAS backplane, supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Because the installed drives are 7.2 K rpm SATA units, sustained throughput is bounded by mechanical latency and the 6 Gb/s link speed of each disk.
