The PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 6338 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 32 cores. It ships with 768 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 modules. The system targets organisations running databases, virtualisation clusters and analytics platforms that demand high core counts and large memory capacity.

Storage interface limits

The integrated PERC H755 RAID controller manages up to 24 front-accessible 2.5-inch drive bays using SATA or SAS protocols. It supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 8 GB of non-volatile cache backed by a battery. NVMe drives are not supported by this controller, so high-speed flash must use the SAS or SATA interface.

Memory and expansion headroom

The platform provides 32 DDR4 slots in total, leaving eight slots free for future upgrades beyond the installed 768 GB.
