The Intel DC S3520 SSDSC2BB150G701 is a 150GB 2.5-inch SATA III solid-state drive built with MLC NAND for data-centre, cloud and embedded deployments. It targets read-intensive workloads such as boot volumes, web servers, low-rate operational databases and analytics where consistent IOPS and data integrity matter more than raw capacity.

Installation and common issues

The drive fits standard 2.5-inch SATA bays and connects with ordinary SATA data and power cables; no special bracket or adapter is required. Installers should verify that the backplane or controller supports SATA III 6Gb/s and that the system BIOS or RAID firmware is current, otherwise the drive may negotiate at a lower link speed or fail to appear during POST.
