4U 14-slot industrial rackmount chassis

The iStarUSA D-414 is a 4U rackmount server chassis built around a 14-slot passive backplane that accepts full-length and full-height add-in cards. It targets industrial computing tasks such as data acquisition, automation and analysis where long-term expandability and continuous operation are required.

Drive bay layout and expansion headroom

Four external 5.25-inch bays, one external 3.5-inch bay and two internal 3.5-inch bays provide room for removable media, hot-swap trays or fixed storage. The 14 expansion slots give generous headroom for multiple I/O or compute cards, while the backplane format means motherboard choice is limited to single-board computers or passive-backplane systems.

Cooling, noise and power basics

A single 120 mm fan handles airflow through the aluminium and steel enclosure; front-panel indicators show power, drive activity, temperature and fan status when a compatible sensor board is fitted.
