The LORDWORLD board converts CAN FD frames to RS232 or RS485 and back again, making it a bridge for developers who need to connect CAN FD networks with legacy serial equipment. Baud-rate range decides fit
The arbitration domain runs from 5 Kbps to 1 Mbps while the data domain spans 100 Kbps to 5 Mbps, so the part only works when your CAN FD bus stays inside those limits. It also handles CAN 2.0A and 2.0B frames, but any bus faster than 5 Mbps in the data phase is outside specification.
USB host software configures filters
Parameters are set from a host computer over USB, where you choose among transparent, ID-tagged, standard or Modbus conversion modes and define up to 32 filter sets for standard or extended IDs. No on-board switches or jumpers exist, so a laptop is required for first-time setup and any later changes.
