Dual-bay M.2 SATA cloner

This enclosure holds two M.2 SATA SSDs in lengths from 2230 to 2280 and lets you duplicate data between them without a computer. It is aimed at technicians and home users who need a standalone way to migrate or back up SATA-based M.2 drives. The aluminium-and-steel chassis acts as a heatsink during long copy sessions.

Offline clone button

Press the dedicated button to start a sector-by-sector copy from the source bay to the target bay; no host connection or software is required. The USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C link runs at up to 20 Gbps when the unit is attached to a PC for regular file access. Only SATA protocol drives are supported despite the M.2 form factor.

Tool-free trays

Each bay uses a sliding tray with a latch that secures 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 modules without screws. The most common mistake is inserting an NVMe drive, which fits physically but will not be recognised because the bridge only speaks SATA. Verify the drive label states SATA before closing the tray.
