M.2 2280 SSD heatsink

The Sabrent SB-HTSK is a passive cooler built for M.2 2280 solid-state drives in desktop computers. It uses a copper base to draw heat from the controller and NAND, then spreads it across a grooved aluminium fin stack. Thermal tape, mounting screws and a screwdriver are supplied in the package.

Fits single and double-sided drives

The bracket clamps over both single-sided and double-sided M.2 2280 modules without blocking adjacent slots. Installation requires no extra tools beyond the included screwdriver and adds only 3.1 inches of length, 1.0 inch of width and 0.9 inch of height to the drive profile. The copper-aluminium construction moves heat away from the PCB so the drive can sustain its rated throughput.

Replaces stock motherboard shields

Builders whose motherboard heatsink is missing, too low or incompatible with double-sided modules gain a universal alternative. The jump is worth it when an NVMe drive throttles under sustained writes or when the factory pad does not contact all components. It is not for laptops or systems that rely on the original motherboard shield for structural retention.
