Six SATA III ports for desktop or server storage
This PCIe x4 add-in card adds six SATA III 6Gbps ports to a desktop computer or server using the ASM1166 controller. It supports SATA 3.2 and AHCI 1.4 specifications with backward compatibility. The card provides a combined total bandwidth up to 16Gbps and works with Windows 7 through 11, Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019, macOS 10.10 to 12 and Linux 2.6.32 and up.
Simple PCIe x4 installation with no RAID
The half-height card fits a standard PCIe 3.0 x4 slot and requires no built-in RAID configuration. It supports Port Multiplier and NCQ for efficient drive handling. SATA cables are sold separately so buyers must source them. Systems without a free x4 slot or with only smaller PCIe slots cannot use this card.
Sustained throughput across six drives
Under continuous load the x4 PCIe 3.0 link delivers up to 16Gbps shared across all six ports. The single-chip ASM1166 architecture avoids bridge bottlenecks during long transfers. Workloads that demand more than six simultaneous SATA connections or require hardware RAID acceleration will need a different solution.
