Dual-socket Xeon 1U server

The Supermicro SYS-6018U-TR4T+ is a 1U rackmount server built around two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors. Each CPU runs at 2.0GHz with 14 cores and reaches 3.2GHz turbo frequency. The system ships with 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz registered ECC memory installed across four modules. It is aimed at organisations that need dense compute for virtualisation, HPC or cloud workloads in a single rack unit.

Redundant 750W platinum power

Two hot-swap 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies provide full redundancy and reduce waste heat during normal operation. The 1U chassis uses Supermicro's thermal design to keep dual 14-core processors and the LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller within safe limits while fan noise remains typical for a data-centre 1U platform. A dedicated RJ45 IPMI 2.0 port allows remote monitoring of temperatures, power draw and fan speeds without loading the main operating system.

Four 3.5-inch hot-plug bays

Only four 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drive trays are included, so buyers who need more storage slots or 2.5-inch bay density must choose a different chassis. The MegaRAID 9361-8i supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1GB cache and battery backup. Quad 10GBase-T ports on the Intel X540 controller handle high-throughput networking. The Matrox G200 with 8MB video memory provides basic console output only.
