The Synology RS1626xs+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage server built for businesses that require high-throughput file services, virtualization hosting and backup consolidation. It ships fully assembled with an Intel Xeon D-1726 processor, 16GB DDR4 ECC memory and four 20TB enterprise drives delivering 80TB raw capacity.
Dual 10GbE and expansion slot
Two onboard 10GbE RJ-45 ports provide high-speed LAN connectivity without extra cards, while a dedicated out-of-band management port keeps administration separate. A PCIe Gen4 x8 slot and dual M.2 NVMe slots allow cache or networking upgrades, and a compatible expansion unit can extend the system to sixteen drive bays.
80TB raw with 64GB memory ceiling
The installed 80TB array handles large media libraries, VM datastores and multi-site replication workloads. Memory can be expanded to 64GB for heavier virtualization or deduplication tasks. Builds that need more than four drives or higher single-thread performance will require a larger chassis or a different processor class.
