High-Volume USB Duplication

The Acumen Disc AD135-USB is a standalone duplicator that copies one source USB flash drive to as many as 135 target drives simultaneously. It operates without a host computer, using a built-in 128 MB buffer and multi-core processor to manage each channel independently. The unit accepts standard Type-A USB flash drives only and does not support externally connected USB devices. It is designed for organisations that need to replicate large batches of media quickly and securely.

Standalone Build and Connectivity

The tower-style chassis houses 135 individual USB slots fed by a single source port, all driven from an internal 115-230 V AC power supply. A 20 x 2 character LCD and front-panel controls let operators select copy or erase modes without any software installation. Asynchronous operation means each target finishes at its own pace, removing the bottleneck of waiting for the slowest drive. The system supports USB 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 media, with actual throughput dependent on the flash drive used.

DoD Erase and Format Flexibility

Four erase modes are available, including DoD 3-pass and DoD 7-pass methods compliant with the 5220.22-M standard for permanent data removal. Copy modes offer Quick Copy for file-system-aware duplication and Full Copy for bit-for-bit imaging. Automatic, FAT and FAT32 formatting options prepare targets before writing. This combination suits IT departments refreshing deployment images, duplicators sanitising retired media, and any workflow where verified erasure is a regulatory requirement.
