The Dell PowerEdge R530 is a 2U rack server built around two Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 eight-core processors running at 2.4 GHz. It ships with 48 GB of DDR4 memory installed across twelve DIMM slots, with a maximum capacity of 384 GB. Dual 750 W redundant power supplies and a PERC H730 RAID controller with 1 GB cache provide enterprise-grade resilience. Eight 3.5-inch hot-plug drive bays

Storage connects through eight front-accessible 3.5-inch hot-plug bays that accept SAS or SATA drives, supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a maximum raw capacity of 80 TB. The H730 controller operates at 12 Gbps and manages all attached arrays. Expansion is handled by five PCIe slots: three PCIe 3.0 and two PCIe 2.0, allowing additional network or storage adapters. Dual Xeon E5-2630 v3 processors fixed at 2.4 GHz

The server is populated with two eight-core Xeon E5-2630 v3 CPUs, delivering 16 physical cores and 32 threads with hyper-threading enabled. Processor upgrades are not supported beyond this configuration, so the clock speed and core count are fixed for the life of the chassis. Memory runs at up to 2400 MT/s DDR4, limited by the processor's integrated memory controller. Buyers needing higher frequencies, more cores per socket or a newer instruction set must choose a different platform.
