It ships with dual eight-core Xeon E5-2630 v3 processors running at 2.4 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 memory across 24 DIMM slots. Twelve 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives, and three 600 GB 15K SAS drives are installed. A Perc H730 RAID controller with 1 GB cache manages arrays at 12 Gbps.

The H730 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, letting you tune redundancy and speed for continuous I/O.
