The pair delivers 32 physical cores for multi-threaded workloads such as virtualisation, database hosting and software-defined storage. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across 16 slots.

H730P storage controller limits

The Dell PERC H730P controller provides 2 GB cache and 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA connectivity with battery-backed write cache. It supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. The chassis offers eight 2.5-inch hot-swap trays today; the platform can accept up to sixteen bays with additional hardware. Network connectivity is two integrated 1 GbE ports.
