The Dell W328K is a 146 GB 2.5-inch internal hard drive spinning at 15000 RPM with a 16 MB buffer. It uses a 6Gb/s SAS interface and is supplied as a bare drive in new condition. This unit targets server and workstation environments that demand high spindle speed in a small form factor.

Integration into Dell PowerEdge

The drive fits 2.5-inch hot-swap bays in listed PowerEdge models such as the R610, R710, R720, R810, R910 and T610 as well as Precision R5500 workstations. It also slots into PowerVault MD1120 and MD3200 direct-attached enclosures. A SAS backplane or RAID controller with 6Gb/s support is required; the drive frees a 3.5-inch bay for other uses.
