Two anodised aluminium heatsinks for chipset cooling

These 35 x 35 x 10 mm black aluminium heatsinks are sold as a pair for DIY thermal management. They target motherboard chipsets, voltage regulators, power transistors, FETs, ICs, power amplifiers and VGA northbridge or southbridge components that need extra heat dissipation. Each piece weighs 25 g and uses an anodised finish for corrosion resistance.

Check component dimensions

Verify that the target chip or package measures no more than 35 mm per side so the heatsink covers it fully. The parts attach with thermal adhesive glue, which is not included, so source a suitable compound separately. Ensure the motherboard layout leaves 10 mm vertical clearance above the component for the heatsink height.

Passive cooling adds no noise and draws no power

With no fan or moving parts the heatsinks operate silently and consume zero watts. Thermal performance depends on case airflow and the quality of the adhesive bond between component and heatsink. In typical chassis airflow the aluminium mass absorbs and spreads heat from the attached IC without increasing system noise.
