The EN-Labs FP525U27M fits a standard 5.25-inch drive bay and provides seven USB 2.0 ports at the front of a desktop case. It connects to a single USB 2.0 9- or 10-pin motherboard header and draws supplementary power from a SATA 15-pin connector on the power supply. The unit is plug-and-play and hot-swappable under supported operating systems. Black metal construction and included mounting screws complete the package.

Sustained transfer behaviour

All seven ports share the single USB 2.0 high-speed link to the motherboard, so aggregate bandwidth is limited to the interface maximum of 480 Mbps.
