The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 ships with two Xeon 5118 processors running at 2.3 GHz, each providing 12 cores and 16.5 MB cache. A total of 128 GB DDR4 ECC registered memory is installed across the 24 DIMM slots, leaving headroom for the 3 TB maximum capacity. The Smart Array P408 SAS controller manages up to eight 2.5-inch SATA drive bays, though no drives are included in this configuration.

Sustained throughput with redundant power

Dual 500 W Flex Slot power supplies share the load and maintain operation if one unit fails. The 2U chassis airflow design keeps both CPUs and the memory subsystem within thermal limits during continuous database or hypervisor activity. Intel I350 and X540 network adapters deliver two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports, providing consistent bandwidth for storage replication and VM migration without saturating the links.

Serviceable chassis with integrated remote

Tool-less rail mounting secures the 36 by 24 by 10 inch enclosure in standard racks, while the 40-pound weight requires two-person handling or a lift. HPE iLO Advanced gives full out-of-band control over power, console and firmware updates from any browser. The P408 controller supports SAS and SATA media, so drive selection can match capacity or endurance needs without changing the backplane.
