Socket and chipset

The MSI H510M PRO-E is an LGA 1200 Micro ATX motherboard built on the Intel H510 chipset. It accepts 10th and 11th Gen Intel Core processors together with Pentium Gold and Celeron models. Dual-channel DDR4 memory runs at speeds from 2133 to 3200 MHz up to a 64 GB limit. A Realtek ALC897 codec delivers 7.1-channel audio and a Realtek RTL8111 controller provides Gigabit LAN.

Build integration

One PCIe x16 slot connects directly to the CPU and operates at PCIe 4.0 with 11th Gen CPUs or PCIe 3.0 with 10th Gen CPUs. Two additional PCIe 3.0 x1 slots come from the chipset. Four SATA III ports handle storage drives. The rear panel supplies two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and four USB 2.0 Type-A ports; internal headers add two more USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. A chassis I/O back panel, one SATA cable and a CMOS battery are included in the box.

Suitability

This board suits budget builds that need a compact Micro ATX form factor and basic connectivity for 10th or 11th Gen Intel CPUs. Users requiring more than one full-size PCIe slot, additional SATA ports or integrated Wi-Fi should consider other chipsets. The 64 GB memory ceiling and single x16 slot also limit future expansion for workstation workloads.
