Turn an M.2 SATA drive into portable storage

This rose-gold enclosure accepts a single M.2 SATA SSD with B-key or B+M-key in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 form factors. It connects via USB Type-C using the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface. The all-aluminium body and included cooling vest with thermal pad draw heat away from the drive. It is not compatible with NVMe or PCIe-based M.2 devices.

Capacity up to 4 TB with 6 Gbps bandwidth

The enclosure supports drives up to 4 TB and delivers a theoretical maximum of 550 MB/s over the 6 Gbps SATA link. UASP, TRIM and SMART are supported for sustained performance. In the supplier's lab a test unit reached 551.78 MB/s read and 504.13 MB/s write; actual throughput depends on the installed SSD. Drives larger than 4 TB or NVMe models will not work.

Aluminium chassis runs silent with smart sleep

The CNC-cut aluminium shell and wrap-around cooling vest dissipate heat without a fan, so operation is completely silent. A built-in smart-sleep function powers the SSD down after 10 minutes of inactivity to reduce wear and power draw. An LED indicator shows working status. The package includes a dual-headed cable with USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C connectors, both rated at 10 Gbps.
