The SIIG JU-P40412-S1 adds four external USB 3.0 Type-A ports to a desktop computer through a PCI Express 2.0 slot. It uses a Renesas UPD720201 host controller and draws auxiliary power from a 15-pin SATA connector. The card supports Windows operating systems from XP through 8 and Server 2003 through 2008 R2 in both 32-bit and 64-bit editions.

Installation requires an available full-height PCI Express expansion slot and a spare SATA power connector from the supply. The bracket measures 2.76 inches wide by 4.72 inches deep and weighs 0.12 lbs.
