2U Rack Chassis with 24 Hot-swap Bays

The Supermicro CSE-216BE1C-R920LPB is a 2U rackmount server chassis finished in black. It accepts ATX and E-ATX motherboards up to 13.68 inches deep. Twenty-four 2.5-inch hot-swap bays support SAS and SATA drives through a 12Gb/s SAS3 expander backplane. Two 920W redundant platinum power supplies are installed.

Suited for High-density Storage Builds

This chassis fits users who need maximum 2.5-inch drive density in a 2U space with redundant power. Builds requiring 3.5-inch drives, front-access 5.25-inch optical bays, or more than seven expansion slots should consider a different platform. The three pre-installed 80 mm fans provide baseline airflow for typical configurations.

SAS3 12Gb/s Expander Backplane

The integrated SAS3 expander connects all twenty-four drive bays at 12Gb/s, allowing a single HBA or RAID controller to manage the full array. This backplane architecture is the deciding factor for deployments that need simplified cabling and full SAS/SATA bandwidth across every bay.
