The jump is worth it when workloads need up to 144 cores per CPU, 108MB cache per CPU and three PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for accelerators, GPUs or high-speed networking cards. Limits of the PCIe 5.0 x16 and AIOM interfaces

Three PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and one OCP 3.0 compatible AIOM slot share the CPU lane budget, so populating every slot with x16 devices may reduce link widths. Air-cooled CPUs above 250W TDP are only supported under specific thermal conditions and the single 1GbE BMC port does not carry production traffic.
