The Supermicro SYS-6029U-E1CR4T is a 2U rackmount system populated with two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors running at 2.3 GHz with 12 cores each. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across 24 available DIMM slots. Twelve front-accessible 3.5-inch hot-swap bays accept SATA or SAS drives for high-capacity storage arrays. A dedicated IPMI 2.0 port provides out-of-band management with KVM-over-LAN.

Sustained load with redundant power

Dual 1000-watt Titanium-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant hot-swap mode to maintain uptime during continuous enterprise workloads. The MegaRAID 9361-8i controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cached battery-backed write acceleration. Four 10GBase-T ports driven by the Intel X710 controller deliver consistent throughput for virtualization and hyper-converged storage traffic. The LGA 3647 sockets support processors up to 205 W TDP for demanding compute tasks.

Twelve-bay chassis with expansion headroom

The CSE-829U2E1C4-R1K02-T-X11DPU chassis provides twelve 3.5-inch drive trays without installed drives, leaving capacity decisions to the integrator. Six PCIe 3.0 expansion slots include two full-height x16, four full-height x8 and one low-profile x8, plus an internal x8 slot for add-in controllers. Front bezel and rack rails are not included, so mounting hardware must be sourced separately. Matrox G200 graphics with 8 MB video memory handles basic console output only.
