The Synology RS3626xs is a 12-bay 2U rackmount NAS built around a six-core Intel Xeon D-1726 processor with 16 GB of DDR4 ECC memory. It ships fully assembled and tested with twelve 24 TB Synology Enterprise drives providing 288 TB of raw capacity. The platform targets businesses that need centralized file storage, virtualization support and multi-site collaboration in a single appliance.

Network and expansion readiness

Two onboard 10 GbE RJ-45 ports support link aggregation for bandwidth scaling and failover. A pre-installed dual-port 25 GbE SFP28 adapter adds high-speed uplink capability for demanding workloads. Two PCIe 4.0 x8 slots remain available for additional network cards, Fibre Channel connectivity or SSD caching hardware as requirements grow. Dual redundant power supplies protect against single-unit failure.

Capacity and memory headroom

The twelve drive bays accept 3.5-inch SATA HDDs or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, and the chassis can be expanded with compatible expansion units for further scaling.
