Compact 1U rackmount NAS

The Synology RS826+ is a 1U rackmount network-attached storage server built for edge locations and remote offices. It uses a 2.2 GHz AMD Ryzen V1500B four-core processor with eight threads and comes with 32 GB of DDR4 ECC memory. Four drive bays hold the included 20 TB Synology Plus drives for a total of 80 TB raw capacity.

Sustained throughput and expandability

Under Synology test conditions the system delivers more than 2,000 MB/s sequential read and 1,300 MB/s sequential write performance. Four integrated 1 GbE RJ-45 ports support Link Aggregation for load balancing and automatic failover. A PCIe Gen3 expansion slot allows a compatible 10 GbE or 25 GbE adapter to be added when network demands increase.

Interface and environmental limits

The four 1 GbE ports set the baseline network ceiling at 1 GbE per port unless an expansion card is installed. The unit operates between 0 °C and 35 °C with 5 to 95 percent relative humidity and accepts 100 to 240 VAC power. Drive bays accept 3.5 inch SATA hard drives or 2.5 inch SATA SSDs only.
