GPON CPE with integrated WiFi 6

The Ubiquiti Networks UF-WiFi6-US is a GPON customer-premises device that combines an ITU-G.984 WAN port with a four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and dual-band WiFi 6. It targets subscribers whose ISP delivers service over a compatible fibre OLT and who want wired and wireless distribution in one unit.

Upgrade from separate ONT and router

Replacing a standalone optical network terminal plus a separate router removes an extra power supply, reduces cabling and consolidates management. The jump is worth it when the provider authorises this CPE on their OLT and the subscriber needs both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi 6 alongside four wired ports.

Check OLT compatibility and power options

This device works only with the provider’s Fiber OLT and cannot connect to third-party OLTs. Verify that the ISP provisions the UF-WiFi6-US on their network. Power can be supplied by the included 5 V DC USB-C adapter or by 24 V passive PoE on pins 4,5+ and 7,8- within a 10–30 V range.
