It supports asynchronous communication in half-duplex or full-duplex modes with automatic direction control. Verify that your serial devices use twisted-pair or shielded cable and that the total RS-485/422 bus length stays within 1,200 metres at 9,600 bps. The USB link itself must not exceed 5 metres.
