The WRIARICH E19 connects 2.5in or 3.5in SATA and IDE hard drives, solid-state drives and optical drives to a USB 3.0 port. It suits technicians, archivists and hobbyists who need to read legacy or current drives without opening a computer case. The adapter also supports DVD-ROM, CD-RW and DVD-RW units for media recovery tasks. Compatibility spans Windows 10 through XP, Mac OS, Linux and Chrome OS.

Plug-and-play with included 12 V supply

No driver installation is required on supported operating systems; the device is recognised immediately after connection. A 12 V DC power adapter is supplied for 3.5in drives, while 2.5in units can often run on bus power alone. An on/off switch lets you cut power before swapping drives, reducing the risk of connector damage. The only common issue is forgetting to attach the external supply when a 3.5in drive fails to spin up.

Sustained transfers at USB 3.0 speeds

The link operates at up to 5 Gb/s and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 hosts. During long imaging or cloning sessions the throughput stays consistent because the bridge chip does not throttle under thermal load. Drives up to 6 TB are supported, so full-volume copies complete without the speed drops seen on older USB 2.0 adapters. The aluminium housing helps dissipate heat during extended use.
