The APC SMX2200HV is a 2200 VA, 1980 W battery backup designed for rackmount installation in server rooms and network closets. It accepts AC 230 V input with a wide operating window from 70 V to 154 V. The unit provides clean output power at 230 V and connects via Smart-Slot and USB for management integration.

Runtime at full and half load

At full 1980 W load the internal battery delivers approximately 10 minutes of runtime, extending to roughly 25 minutes at half load. Recharge to full capacity takes 3 hours. The replaceable battery cartridge is the APCRBC143, allowing service without removing the UPS from the rack.

Smart-Slot and USB management interface

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of a Smart-Slot and a USB port for monitoring and shutdown software. Buyers who need network-card-only management or contact-closure signals without a slot adapter cannot use this unit as-is.
