Fan Module for EX3400 Switches

This Juniper Networks fan module provides back-to-front airflow for the EX3400 series. It pulls cool air into the chassis and exhausts heat from the front panel. The unit suits network administrators deploying EX3400-24P, EX3400-48P, EX3400-24T, or EX3400-48T switches in standard hot-aisle or cold-aisle layouts.

Replacement Cooling Unit

The module replaces a failed or missing fan tray in compatible EX3400 switches to restore proper thermal management. A swap is warranted when the original unit develops bearing noise, reports a fault LED, or cannot spin up under rising internal temperatures. It is not suited for front-to-back airflow racks or non-EX3400 chassis.

Chassis Integration

The fan unit slides into the dedicated slot on supported EX3400 models without tools.
