The ORVIX 3 mm heatsink fits M.2 2280 NVME modules. It uses a thickened fin stack and an included silicone thermal pad to pull heat away from the controller and memory. The green anodised aluminium body measures 70 mm long by 22 mm wide and stands 3 mm tall. Builders with limited clearance around the slot should verify the vertical space before ordering.
Suits standard 2280 SSDs; not for shorter modules
This cooler targets owners of full-length 2280 drives who want lower operating temperatures without active airflow. The bundled thermal pad covers the main components on one side of the PCB. Buyers using 2230, 2242 or 2260 form factors cannot use this heatsink because the mounting holes and fin length are sized for 80 mm boards. Systems where the motherboard shroud or a graphics card leaves less than 3 mm of gap above the slot will also be incompatible.
3 mm overall height decides fit
The single specification that determines compatibility is the 3 mm stack height including the thermal pad. Measure the distance from the top of the installed SSD to the nearest obstruction; if that clearance is below 3 mm the heatsink will not seat properly and the drive may overheat or the case panel will not close.
