Dual brackets and virtualization offloads

A 12cm standard bracket ships installed and an 8cm low-profile bracket is included, letting the card fit both full-height and slim chassis without extra parts. Hardware assists such as Flexible Port Partitioning, VMDq and PCI-SIG SR-IOV reduce CPU overhead when the adapter serves multiple virtual machines.

PCIe 2.0 x4 bandwidth and missing optics

The x4 Gen 2 link caps theoretical throughput at roughly 20Gb/s, so the 10Gb line rate is sustainable but leaves no headroom for a second 10Gb port on the same slot. No SFP+ transceiver, direct-attach or active-optical cable is bundled; those must be sourced separately. Mac OS is not supported.
