The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rackmount system built around two Intel Xeon E5-2699 v3 processors. Each CPU delivers 18 cores at 2.3 GHz with a 3.6 GHz turbo frequency. 64 GB DDR4 ECC across 24 slots with 1.5 TB maximum

Installed memory consists of four 16 GB DDR4 2133 MHz registered ECC modules occupying a fraction of the 24 available DIMM slots. The Intel C610 chipset supports expansion up to 1.5 TB total capacity. This headroom lets operators scale memory independently of compute as virtual machine density grows.
