The Orico aluminium enclosure converts a single M.2 NVMe SSD into a USB-C external drive. It accepts M-key and B+M-key modules in the 2280 form factor and connects at up to 10 Gbps. NVMe-only compatibility

This enclosure works exclusively with PCIe NVMe drives; M.2 SATA and PCIe AHCI modules are not supported. The USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 interface delivers a theoretical 1000 MB/s, with Orico lab tests reaching 1200 MB/s on a Samsung 970 EVO Plus. UASP, TRIM and SMART pass-through are enabled for 70 % faster reads and 40 % faster writes versus conventional USB 3.1.

Passive aluminium cooling

A full-wrap aluminium vest and silicone thermal pad conduct heat away from the SSD, while CNC-cut stripes on the top cover increase dissipation area.
