Dual Xeon Platinum 8160 1U server

The Supermicro SYS-6019U-TN4R4T packs two 24-core Intel Xeon Platinum 8160 CPUs at 2.1 GHz with 3.7 GHz Turbo into a 1U rack chassis. It ships with 512 GB of DDR4-2666 ECC registered memory across 16 DIMMs. Four hot-swap 3.5-inch bays accept SATA or SAS drives for dense storage. The LSI MegaRAID 9361-8i controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with 1 GB cache and battery backup. Four 10GBase-T ports via an Intel X540 add-in card provide high-speed networking.

Redundant 750 W platinum PSUs

Two hot-swap 750-watt platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. The 1U form factor concentrates heat in a small volume, so the system relies on high-airflow fans that will be audible under load. IPMI 2.0 with a dedicated RJ45 management port enables remote monitoring of temperatures, fan speeds and power draw without loading the host OS. The Matrox G200 GPU with 8 MB video memory handles basic console output only.

9361-8i RAID controller and IPMI 2.0

The bundled MegaRAID 9361-8i adds hardware RAID acceleration and cache protection that software RAID cannot match, reducing CPU overhead during parity calculations. IPMI 2.0 with virtual media and KVM-over-LAN lets administrators mount ISOs, reboot and troubleshoot remotely even when the OS is unresponsive. No front bezel or rack rails are included, so buyers must source mounting hardware separately. This configuration targets virtualization, HPC and software-defined storage clusters needing maximum cores and memory in 1U.
