This 16GB DDR3 ECC registered DIMM is built for Dell PowerEdge R920, T410, T610 and T710 servers. It runs at 1333MHz with CL9 latency and 1.5V operation. The module uses a 2Rx4 rank configuration on a 240-pin interface. It is not compatible with standard desktop computers or unbuffered memory.
The module operates at the standard 1.5V DDR3 voltage without a heat spreader. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller during sustained workloads. ECC circuitry adds minimal overhead while correcting single-bit errors. Power draw stays within JEDEC limits for PC3-10600 modules.
The bare green PCB fits directly into 240-pin DDR3 slots on the listed PowerEdge models. Registered signalling requires a compatible server chipset to function. Mixing with unbuffered DIMMs will prevent boot. The single-module design allows incremental capacity increases up to the system maximum.
