This OWC module delivers 8GB of DDR4 memory at 2400MHz with CL17 latency. It uses the standard 260-pin SO-DIMM form factor and operates at 1.2V. The kit is validated as a direct replacement for NCR part numbers 006-8626889, 1925-K006, 497-0531032 and 7772-K134.
Running at the JEDEC-defined 1.2V, the unbuffered non-ECC DRAM draws minimal power inside laptops, all-in-ones and NAS units. No heat spreader is fitted, so the module relies on the host chassis airflow. Backward compatibility with 2133MHz platforms allows installation in older slots without configuration changes.
The jump is worthwhile when a system ships with 4GB total or runs at 2133MHz, as the extra capacity and higher data rate improve multitasking and large-file handling. It is not suited for buyers who need ECC error correction, registered buffering or capacities above 8GB per slot.

Power off the laptop, open the memory door, align the notch on the 260-pin module with the slot key, insert at an angle and press down until both retention clips click; the step many skip is pressing firmly enough to engage both clips fully.
No routine maintenance is required; the module has no heat spreader and runs at 1.2V, so it is designed to last the system's lifetime unless a capacity upgrade is desired.
The CAS latency of 17 cycles at 2400 MHz sets the timing floor; bandwidth and latency remain fixed at JEDEC PC4-19200 specifications during continuous operation.
