16GB DDR4 2400MHz desktop module

This single 16GB DIMM adds capacity to a desktop system using standard 288-pin DDR4 slots. It runs at 2400MHz with a 1.20V operating voltage and is an unbuffered, non-ECC module. The stick is built as a direct replacement for Micron part numbers MTA16ATF2G64AZ-2G3, MTA16ATF2G64AZ-2G3A1 and MTA16ATF2G64AZ-2G3B1.

Replaces slower DDR4 or smaller modules

Swapping out a lower-frequency DDR4 stick or a smaller capacity module lets the memory controller run at the rated 2400MHz PC4-19200 data rate. The upgrade is worthwhile when the platform supports this speed and the extra 16GB removes a bottleneck in multitasking or larger workloads. Systems already populated with matching 2400MHz modules will not see a frequency gain from this addition.

Fits standard 288-pin DDR4 motherboard slots

The module requires a desktop board with DDR4 DIMM sockets and a memory controller able to address 16GB per slot at 1.20V. It occupies one slot, leaving remaining banks free for further expansion up to the board's supported maximum.
