It targets builders who want a mainstream platform with four DDR4 DIMM slots and a single full-length PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. Integrated graphics are supported through HDMI and DVI-D outputs.

Dual M.2 slots with SATA and PCIe

Two M.2 sockets accept type 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives in either SATA or four-lane PCIe mode, giving flexibility for fast primary storage or additional capacity. Four SATA 6 Gb/s ports add room for traditional SSDs or hard drives, and the chipset supports RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 arrays plus Intel Optane Memory readiness.

5X Protection III and FanXpert 2 Core

Hardware safeguards include overvoltage, overcurrent and ESD guards alongside stainless-steel I/O backplate and LAN surge protection. FanXpert 2 Core provides automatic fan tuning for CPU and chassis headers. Back-panel connectivity covers HDMI 1.4b, DVI-D, two PS/2, two USB 2.0 and four USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Realtek ALC887 8-channel audio features illuminated trace path lighting.
